HOOT Prep uses a Montessori and Reggio Emilia inspired approach, known as the “Curiosity” approach, where children actively construct knowledge through their own investigations and interests.

Hoot Prep accepts children aged 7-12, with younger children (7-9) engaged in sensory play and crafts, while older children (9-12) focus more on structured learning and the online platform.

Pre GED is an eclectic and customised curriculum geared towards preparation for the GED® credential. This level can be done from age 15.

The GED curriculum is a grade 12 equivalent. The exam consists of Mathematical reasoning, reasoning through language arts, social studies and science. SAQA has evaluated the GED and found the National Senior Certificate as its closest comparable qualification. This level can be done from age 16.
